The other thing to take into account is Android phones were rated as 1st 2nd and 3rd for customer satisfaction this month and things are only getting stronger for the google os, so surely its a high priority to get MM on board. I am sure if MM contacted google that things could move along very fast. In fact Google were very helpful with a Gallery project and even released some students to help.
We though it was because they were older tracks that were DRM protected, but even after doing the whole iTunes Match thing to get clean copies, they just wont sync over, and even some tracks that werent protected in the first place dont seem to show up.
Why not link to the default Google player. Weve been trying DoubleTwist, but its interface is pretty obtuse and it seems to miss a good chunk of her songs. I have been dabblling with Itunes again since using Media Monkey is beginning to take far more computer hacking skills than I care to develop. This sure isn't going to win any customers over to MM in my opinion. I gave doubletwist a shot and it seems to work really well, the only thing is the order is. Now it turns out in every audioplayer i have downloaded I have duplicates of every track (one for each time I synced) Also, the 'official' audio player wont play ANY tracks at all. I use doubletwist to sync iTunes to Android, you can use airsync inside doubletwist to sync wirelessly as well. Basically, after a week of frustration, i finally got doubleTwist to sync my music. Unless instructed to do so, it does not seem as though we will see any movement on this topic unfortunately. If youre planning on using it often just pay for it. It seems that MediaMonkey could use a marketing department to instruct development of Android sync. To resolve this problem, rename or delete all copies of iTunes XML file except for the copy found in the current iTunes library location.ĭo not rename or delete the "iTunes Music l" or "iTunes l" file as this will affect your iTunes Library. On board wrote:"That's the problem, there is no standard android music app and how does MM decide which music app to add support to, keeping in mind that not all apps will be compatible with all the different android phones out there." This means that doubleTwist Sync will analyze the items selected for syncing to generate a 'Sync Plan', which is a list of items to be transferred to the device and also the playlists that need to be modified or updated.

If your iTunes library is located in a non-standard location, such as a different drive, iTunes may have created a duplicate copy of the iTunes XML file in the default location causing doubleTwist Sync to use it instead of the correct XML file.įor example, in the screenshot below, searching our PC for "iTunes xml" reveals three files, located at three different drives: C:\, Z:\ and E:\.ĭoubleTwist Sync will import data using the XML file from the default location (C:\Users\dt\Music\iTunes\) even if our current iTunes library is located on the Z:\ drive. Once youve selected items for syncing, click on 'Sync now' to begin the sync process. Your iTunes library is located in a non-standard location (such as a different hard drive) The Modified Date should now reflect the current time.

If you are an advanced user, you can confirm the iTunes XML file was correctly created or updated by using Windows Explorer to navigate to your iTunes folder.I wasnt planning on spending any money on a program but looks like I may have to since I want to keep iTunes as my media player on my laptop. Relaunch doubleTwist Sync and any missing iTunes playlists should now be imported. IMO, it never recognizes my device and takes hours, or at least it seems to actually sync my device, when of course it actually recognizes it.Select Preferences, go to Advanced Preferences and make sure the iTunes Library XML with other applications setting is checked.Launch iTunes and go to the iTunes Edit menu.If it is already enabled, try toggling it from on to off and then back to on to force the iTunes XML file to be created/updated.

Starting with iTunes 12.2, Apple decided to make life harder for users and music developers by introducing a new setting in iTunes Preferences, in the Advanced section, called "Share iTunes Library XML with other applications". DoubleTwist is at its core a free music jukebox that offers content syncing to a variety of portable devices, including the BlackBerry, the PSP, and the iPod, as well as pretty much. Your iTunes library is located in a non-standard location (such as a different hard drive). The iTunes setting for sharing your music library info with other apps (iTunes Library XML) may be set to OFF by default. If doubleTwist Sync on your Windows PC doesn't auto-detect your iTunes library or playlists, one of two things may be happening:
